    Haifaa Abedalhaleem, a distinguished expert in heritage and conservation, holds a Master's Degree in Heritage and Tourism Management. With 20 years of experience, she has made significant contributions during her time at IUCN, particularly in shaping the success of the IUCN-Tabe'a Programme, which has advanced natural World Heritage conservation in the Arab States. Her expertise in capacity building, technical advice, and advocacy has established her as a recognized leader in her field. Furthermore, Haifaa's impact extends beyond World Heritage, encompassing broader heritage and environmental and conservation efforts, solidifying her legacy as a guardian of our shared heritage. Currently, she is leading efforts in Jordan, conducting comprehensive assessments of the climate impact on heritage sites.

  • Rawan Alkhaleefah

    Director of Operations

    Rawan Alkhaleefah is an accomplished professional with a deep commitment to environmental conservation and cultural heritage preservation. Rawan began her career with a strong academic foundation, earning a degree in Public Administration from The University of Jordan. Rawan started her journey in the environmental field through an internship at IUCN, where she gained firsthand experience in conducting environmental impact assessments and developing conservation strategies.

    Dr. Mohammd Alkhaleefah received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the National Taipei University of Technology, Taipei, Taiwan. Dr. Mohammad is a pioneering figure in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), known for his groundbreaking research and transformative contributions to these rapidly evolving domains. Dr. Mohammad has established himself as a leading authority, shaping the future of intelligent systems and connected technologies.

    Architecture & Cultural Heritage

    Eman Assi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, with a rich background in architecture and cultural heritage management. Holding a Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh, she has extensive experience as a consultant and project manager across various international organizations, including ICCROM and the World Bank. Eman specializes in the conservation, documentation, and management of cultural heritage in the Arab world. She is an expert member of several ICOMOS committees and has numerous publications in the field. Her contributions to urban conservation and cultural heritage have earned her several accolades, including Fulbright and Prince Sultan Bin Salman awards, highlighting her significant impact in her field.

  • Dr Mohammed Al Najjar

    Senior Archeologist

    Dr. Mohammed Mahmoud Najjar, a distinguished Jordanian archaeologist, has significantly contributed to the field through his extensive experience as both a curator and director of archaeological surveys and excavations at the Jordanian Antiquities Department. With a Ph.D. earned in 1981, Dr. Najjar's career has spanned several decades, involving him in key projects such as the Hercules Temple Project at Amman Citadel and extensive research in Southern Jordan's Faynan region. He has held notable positions such as Vice President of ICOMOS-Jordan and was a strategic advisor for the Museum With No Frontiers. His academic contributions include lecturing and the development of numerous scholarly publications focused on Neolithic sites and Iron Age metallurgy, emphasizing his deep engagement with the archaeological heritage of the Levant.

    Strategic Planner for Business Execution and Governance Excellence

    Rita Abu Diab, PhD is an academic-turned business development consultant and IoT specialist who helps organizations turn strategy into measurable results. She designs governance frameworks, modernizes digital transformation policies, and builds robust information security, privacy, and data-protection practices. Leveraging hands-on programming and IoT expertise, Rita integrates copyright, licensing, and open-source methodologies into institutional digital content projects.

    Beyond the enterprise, she supports SMEs in crafting investable business models and scalable digital products, and mentors university teams to deliver SDG-aligned, real-world applications. A published researcher with Google certifications, Rita brings a rare blend of rigor, practicality, and cross-sector experience to every engagement.
